Hitachi Router Line Card

Some pics of the MUSIC MU9C4480B Content Addressable Memory (CAM) IC from a Hitachi Router line card. As I understand it CAM chips allow you to look up information based on content rather than address, allowing for very fast searches. Particularly useful here for implementing MAC address tables!
